By Elizabeth Hall “Congratulations, Television! You Are Even Worse At Masculinity Than Femininity,” is the title of a National Public Radio article written by Linda Holmes and posted September 29th . She details this season’s new sitcoms and comedies and how ineffective they have been thus far in creating realistic portrayals of men in society; the infamous, “When is our anniversary honey?”, and my personal favorite, “I had no idea today was your birthday.” Those kind of men. It’s bad enough that these stereotypes exist, but what’s even more disturbing is the translation of these stereotypes into commercials that run all day, every day.
